Nominated for Musician Of The Year at the MG Alba Trad Awards 2023, Euan McLaughlin is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, producer and string arranger based in Glasgow. Euan has established himself as a highly sought-after session player and collaborator, working with a diverse range of artists and performing at major events such as Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair, Celtic Connections, DubCamp and Festival Interceltique De Lorient.

Euan is part of several exciting musical projects, including the Dub/Folk collective An Dannsa Dub (formed alongside Tom Spirals), the Electronic/Trad outfit Valtos, and his brother Lewis' band. He is also an in demand recording artist, having appeared on over 50 commercial recordings, as well as the ITV series 'Victoria' and his playing regularly features across the BBC, including on Radio 1, Radio 2, and 6 Music. In recognition of his innovative contributions to traditional music, Euan was awarded the Ignition Award by Hands Up For Trad in 2022.
Euan has collaborated and performed with numerous notable artists throughout his career including Lucia & The Best Boys, Johnny Mac & The Faithful, The Poozies, Project Smok, Last Boy, Julie Fowlis, Elephant Sessions, Apache Indian, Horseman, Cara Rose, Ewen Bremner, Strabe, Iona Fyfe, Dante and even played alongside Rod Stewart. Euan's ability to adapt to different genres and styles has made him a versatile and in-demand session player and producer in the Scottish music scene.
